We call them 'fireflies' and they are the coolest thing. I loved catching them in a jar as a kid and watching it light up. I've spent the summer feeding and watching hummingbirds, which have to be the most amazing birds. But who knew - they are incredibly territorial and the idyllic scene in my back...

woods - sorry to hear that life is a bit unsettled right now. You summed it up well - when we're busy and overwhelmed, we think the answer is quiet solitude. Then as soon as we're alone, we're yearning for companionship. We're meant to be social animals - just doesn't seem to work any other way. It'...

Jill- I have seen that poem before and find it really comforting as well. I think you'll cope quite well when the time comes - and Jesse - well, got a little teary reading his words.

Blue Eyes - Jesse's words sound a lot like things Preston has said - insightful beyond his years.

Picture the writers sitting around a table. They've introduced THE Numbers already. Now it becomes a challenge to see how they can continue to work them into the story. I think you covered every reference made in six seasons of Lost!

TTB - it was hilarious - but also a bit Lost related. All I could think of wer the theories about why Christian couldn't turn the FDW himself - he needed Locke too because he couldn't physically do it in the form of being that he was. Ilana tells Sun her job is to protect the SIX candidates left:

Who are the six?
Ilana would be going by Jacob's list from the lighthouse:
Shephard
Reyes
Kwon (1 or 2)
Kate - on the lighthouse list (Jacob's), but not MIB's cave wall.
Wallace (#108)

any ideas on that?

I'm hoping Sayid really has changed his life-style. It can be decades after a war that a veteran will react to a perceived threat in an instinctive manner. Maybe he's lying about Toronto because he came just to check on Nadia and the kids and his stupid brother. I was trying to write down some of th...

I think Sayid's with you - he knew that Dogen set him up to be killed by Flocke - and then Flocke sets him up to be killed (again) by Dogen. And really, why didn't Dogen just give him the poison p...

If that's the case - then why did Jacob (who was still in power) allow Aaron to be taken by his nemesis AND allow Aaron to be taken off the island? AND why didn't he influence having Aaron brought back to the island. He certainly could have bought Claire's allegiance with a look in the mirror of Aar...

This Claire/Aaron thing is getting complicated - and we have it on two separate threads - LOL. Good point that Flocke/MIB isn't actually able to fulfill promises, whereas Jacob (who is the one in power at the moment in the balance of dark and light) does seem to have the ability to grant life. But h...

You were right though, that's how the Others had all that information about the 815 people - Jacob had been checking on them their entire lives. Things that even a private investigator would be able to find. So I'm willing to chalk that up as something that was answered!

Wouldn't it be MIB who got to Malkin to get Claire to the island?

Love the idea that that's why Malkin's daughter was able to come back from the dead.

Wonder what the deal was with Richard that he can't age - and is chained to Jacob. What deal did he make with Jacob?
