Anybody else out there excited to hear some news out of Comic-Con?
I just read an interview with D&C and they said there would be surprise guests there. So curious about who that will be!

Also they are finally gonna answer some questions - Wonder if they will give us any major hints.

Okay so on a sidenote... my husband told me he actually looked into getting us some tickets to Comic-Con - since it coincidentally falls right around my birthday this weekend - but that they were totally sold out!!!
I'm such a big geek - I got all teary eyed at the idea that he actually comtemplated bringing me there! I was so choked up.
Then he said he was really disappointed cause he would have loved to go to Vegas... and I was like..."Ummm Honey, Comic-Con is in San Diego!" haha. ;-)

So - great that he thought of it, but too bad it was too late to actually go. Especially since it's the last LOST year. Oh well, we might still head to Vegas but maybe for our anniversary instead. I'm still a bit awkward about the thought of leaving my son behind for so many days...

Just thought I would share that with you guys, cause you are probably the only ones who could understand.

That was really sweet!! In this case, it is the thought that counts.

Yeah, I looked at the Comic-Con website for tickets earlier in June and they were all sold out except for like Sunday afternoon or something, which would have been just in time to see everyone take their booths down.

Aww...What a great guy you have!! That is too bad that it's sold out. You have to tell us what he ends up doing for your Birthday, if it's LOST related. I just had my B-day a week and a half ago and I really wanted a LOST T-shirt, the Geronimo Jackson one. I dropped hints but my hubby is opposed to buying anything on-line. I think he's really just opposed to using the credit cards. I'll just have to get creative ( like you ) and make myself a t-shirt.

Anyway, JoOppinionated is supposedly going or she's already there. She keeps posting LOST related products that I assume she is getting at the convention. Does it open earlier for the bloggers? The latest item is a bloodied, bobblehead Ben Linus ( I want one!!! ) ....I am excited to find out all that happens at this comic con.

Months ago, I put COMIC CON in my Outlook Calendar - so that I would remember to look up all of the scoop!

I can't wait to hear something (ANYTHING)!! I hope something more concrete comes out of it - but last year's game was fun . . . until nothing came out of it!!??

I hope to look for video early on Saturday afternoon. Does any site plan to carry a live feed??

Try G4 (aka TechTV).....they always have the updates from the various conventions whether Comic Con (there was one in New York not too long ago that they covered -- they evidently hold an east coast and west coast Comic Con) or the electronics showcases like E3.....G4 seems to cover them all.

(I get it on DirecTV).

You can also follow Jopinionated on Twitter... and yes, I finally gave in and got my self twittering!! Geesh!!! I guess I'm hip now.

So far it's interesting, you get constant updates from all the main Lost bloggers and stuff if you search for them and then choose to follow them!

If you guys twitter, look me up - i'm Dharma4life. ;-)

And yes, I'll definitely keep you guys updated for what ends up happening in the birthday corner. He went into work late today cause he was busy upstairs on the computer doing "stuff" and he told me I couldn't come in the room unless I warned him. lol... I wonder if he wiped out the history???Insert evil laugh here... lol... did I ever mention I am a huge kid when it comes to my birthday?

H-P:
go online and get a picture of Geronimo Jackson and then go to walmart and buy some tshirt transfer paper and print it out on there. Buy a cheap tshirt and it's just as good as any of the tshirts from ABC store. Way cheaper!!! I think I'm gonna make a red shirt with a dharma logo on it.
...ps did I mention that I treated myself to a bday present the other day? I made my first ever Ebay purchase and ordered myself a Dharma Swan Baseball cap - Black with the swan logo in the front and the numbers stitched on the back of the hat! Very sweet!!!

Haha - that's awesome MIC! Now for my theory on the matter - there must have been something in the stars 9 months prior! Maybe some unusual lunar activity that made more July babies happen in certain years and around certain locations around the globe. ;-) lol... Just kidding! But then again - you never know!

Happy belated bday MIC!

Hey guys, I am not a July birthday, but close, June. I have to brag just a bit and say that my son bought me the DVD Lost season 1-4.!!! :o

I was totally shocked. He used money he had saved for a looong time and bought something for me. :o :o :o :o

He has NEVER been that thoughtful before. I was so excited. I have not got to watch much yet(Preston is my biggest hobby right nowe. lol   8) ) I am looking forward to him starting school soon and i can sit and watch for hours, AND IT WILL BE QUIET :D not sure how that will feel. :)

I am hoping for season 5 for Christmas. I am already dropping hints. I hope one of them catches on.

Happy Birthday to all of you!

By the way... Just heard word that D&C declared that there would be some NEW material shown at Comic Con and then they'll answer questions. They said some things will be a bit spoilerish but only if it's something they are willing to give up. They said on a whole, they'll be even more secretive this season than usual.

Also Jorge Garcia was spotted at Comic Con. Yippie!
And Elizabeth Mitchell apparently said that Juliet will be returning depending on if Jack's plan worked or not... Hmmm...

Blue - that is so incredibly sweet of your son! Wow. The thought alone must have made your day - never mind it's the perfect gift!!

(Are you late enough June for your zodiac sign to be Cancer?)

Happy Belated Birthday!

Wow Blue- it's nice when the kids come through like that and surprise you! Makes you realize you did something right! What a great boy!

I think there has always been some weird connection with the people here. I think we were all meant to come together to bond and help each other and make new friendships. I hope it doesn't end with Lost. I hope I can meet some of you if we have a Lost Finale Party.

Dharma- I like the "'spring/summer" baby connection. I think the stars lined up just right to have us all meet here.

Okay so since this is the Comic Con/birthday thread I thought I would share something so endearing to me too!!!

My husband gave me my gifts last night - knowing I hate to open his gifts around everyone cause I tend to try to wanna keep my geekiness under wraps a bit. ;-)
hehehe...

So last night he tells me to shut my eyes and not to peek.
So i did.. and when I opened them - this is what was on my kitchen table!

Image

At first I couldn't tell what he had done to create a Dharma logo on my gift bags!! Remember I said he was holed up in the office yesterday morning to the point of being late for work??? Well this is what he was doing!!! he created a LOST Swan stencil with an exacto knife no less!!! LOL... I was totally blown away that he even thought to do that!!!

I was so thrilled I was even just content to just sit and stare at the bags for a while... haha!
So, ofcourse as promised there was some lost related gifts inside!!! (thank god I was opening this in private huh?)
I got two very cool books!

Image

I was just sooo sooo touched. I still can't believe he even thought of doing that!!! He even got the black and white theme right! hahaha. He said he got the idea cause he saw a website on the internet where somebody had made dharma stencils and used it as stenciling for the walls in their basement! They created their basement as a hatch!!!! how freaky is that???

Anyways, I got those two great books and he also got me a Wii. Yes, I know I am such a kid - I actually wanted a Wii for a while now! How's that for a fun visual? LOL.

Just had to share, I am still flabbergasted that he did that!

Dharma, That is the sweetest thing I've ever heard. You are so lucky to have a man that went to all that trouble. He's a keeper ;)

I really want the Doc Arzt book. Let me know how you like it and Happy Birthday again.

A dharma hatch/ basement doesn't sound like a bad idea :)

Very, Very Cool, Dharma!! He's a keeper for sure!!

You too, Blue (with your son's thoughtfulness). It's great when the men in the family show their consideration and appreciation like that.

Wow!! That was so wonderful. I never got any Lost themed gifts from my hubby
but he has agreed to call our laundry shoot "the hatch". I shine a light up from the basement
through the "hatch" to the second floor and I make the kids recreate the scene with John at the
top.

NO!!! Jonny Depp...I could cry!! One of my former coworkers is on his way there and he'll arrive at Comic-Con on Sunday. I just begged him to take lots of pictures with major focus on anything LOST related. We'll see what happens.

MIC, That is too funny...I wish I had a laundry shoot :)

Yeah, Tim Burton asked the audience if they'd like to meet his imaginary friend and out walks Johnny!! BTW, I watched the trailer for Alice in Wonderland (the film they're there to promote)......freakishly Burton!!

Oh well, I'll just have to dream on! It would have been a no go anyway.....the hubby's in Philadelphia this weekend for disaster recovery testing.

Thanks guys - don't I know it!!! I really can't find anything to complain about when it comes to my husband. He's really special. (insert LOST theme here)

I haven't really had an opportunity to really really look at either book in too much detail but the Messages from the Island one has very very nice pictures and is very visually stimulating. I'm sure it's packed with stuff I already know, but it's definitely a nice looking keepsake. As for the DocArzt book, I read the intro and was giggling at the glossary of terms in the back, because I knew what a lot of them meant. It looks pretty entertaining and I'm hoping for some really good weather next week so I can pull that book out and sit in the garden.
Will definitely let you know if they are worth buying...

And I have to say now that I have that Dharma stencil, i am soooo sooo tempted to revamp my walk in closet in my bedroom! hahah... People might start to wonder though when I start wearing a lot of black & white (and Red for days when I feel like being a risk taker). lol... Will ask James for that link to the website where he saw it done as a LOST hatch. I am very curious to see that!

I hear you Anne! They promised some "new material" so I am so excited to see what it is and if it will be canon.

Also, although I didn't get a chance to see it - there's a new video posted at ABC about the mysterious Dharma Initative. It's the first of a slew of new vids that are to be posted. Will be checking that out first thing tomorrow morning when I stop being lazy and load up my laptop. Will also have to send you guys one more picture! ;-) lets just say - Best birthday EVER!

...couldn't sleep, too much sugar last night!

Here's that pic I said I had to post - Now I know what the stencil really was for! Apparenly he brought it to a nearby bakery and they were able to produce this:

How am I gonna compete with this when his birthday comes? :)

Amazing cake!!! Congrats on the birthday! Looks like your best present is a husband who really tries hard to show how much he loves you. You are one lucky woman. :D

You got that completely right Anne! I definitely have to say as much as I love the gifts, the cake and all the attention to detail - what really touches me is the thought and sentiment he puts into everything. He is always looking for ways to spoil me or keep that smile firmly planted on my face. :).
I totally struck gold when I met & married him - he's one in a million. ;-)

on a side note... Did you guys know that if you go to Comic Con, and say you want to get in for todays Lost panel with D&C... You'd have to wait in lines since midnight? Camp outside with sleeping bags??? I keep getting Twitter updates and they send pictures of what it's like out there. They've been in line since midnight for the 11am panel and there are over 2000 people in the crowd waiting! How insane is that? Atleast D&C made a visit to the line up to keep everyones spirits up.
But I'm definitely starting to think it's a good thing I'm not there. Don't know if I have that stamina anymore...LOL

Dharma- can we officially hire you and your husband to do the catering for the Lost finale party?
It's so refreshing to see a couple so in love. Gave me quite a smile!!!!

Here's like a play-by-play summary of the Lost panel discussion from today at Comic-con by some guy ( I guess from G4) named Stephen Johnson:

http://g4tv.com/comiccon2009/pressconfe ... begins/45/

I'm sure there will be You Tube videos eventually, but here it is summarized in print for anyone needing a Lost fix!

I just saw an update from JoOppinionated and I wish I hadn't seen it...I think it might be considered spoiler-ish.

I'm not sure where to put the info... I hate to start a new thread but one thing I think I can safely relay is that we will be getting a Richard flashback in season 6. This is according to Jojo who is at the LOST panel today.

Maybe it's not, Jen. Jo advertises her site as "spoiler-free". I don't know if I was reading the same thing you did, but I didn't really see anything there on her blog that was spoiler-y. BUT, she is also writing for Doc Arzt and TV Overmind this weekend as well......was it one of those sites?

I read something spoiler-ish... But I don't think she wrote it... ;-) won't post it here, cause after I read it I was not so sure I wanted to know it. ;-) but you know me... I'm usually a lost purist! ;-)

lets just say, nothing is definitive so whatever I do post in spoiler section is probably just semi truth passing as a slip up by Josh Holloway.

And... Yes, MIC - we'll totally take care of the catering! ;-)
Sonrisas - Believe it or not - we met over the Internet, and it turned out we lived about 10 mins away from one another! With a lot of Internet flirting, hours on the phone chatting, we eventually met up and never looked back! We were married two years later... Almost 7 yrs ago! All I can say is I'm so happy I took that chance and actually gave Internet dating a try.

Julie, It was an update on her facebook page and it was about two characters that we all are wondering about. She also just posted the interview of Nestor( Richard) on youtube. It was a video for T.V. over mind. I did not get a chance to watch it yet. I'll post the link here for the interview, just keep in mind that it could contain info you may not want to know.

Ay-Yai-Yai-Yai!! Those videos were the worst to watch HP!! I did see them all (Jorge's, Josh's too) on TV Overmind and there is no filter on the background noise. I didn't hear Nestor or Josh very much at all. Jorge was a bit more distinguishable, but still painful to listen to.

EW seems to have the best coverage (to me at least) of anyone. Here's a link to get you started.....They have lots of summaries, videos, quizzes and stuff, all very interesting. Just follow the links on each page to the other pieces:

http://popwatch.ew.com/popwatch/2009/07 ... panel.html

Oh yeah, Doc Arzt has all of the videos (suggesting the creation of an alternate timeline) of Kate, Hurley and Oceanic.

I know what you mean SandDab, I had seen those interviews the other day and I gave up. I couldn't hear much at all... so I figured I'd eventually read what was said exactly somewhere. ;-)

Have you guys seen the Season 6 poster? It has all the LOST characters from all the earlier seasons on it... and Locke is in the middle with his back to the camera, with just his face turning to look back. Here's the link, http://bit.ly/1LGgj apparently there are some hieroglyics on the poster that I am assume some people will figure out what they mean.

Here's the link to Kate's America's most wanted clip and to Ben's Hurley audition tape...
http://bit.ly/uzgvx

The producers said that Season 6 will be told in a different fashion than all the other seasons, right? Well I have a feeling we'll be seeing the two alternatives. Instead of flashing back and forth between 30 years in the future or in the past... I think we'll be seeing two different realities playing out side by side, and maybe the last episode will show what actually happens. Depending if the bomb worked or not. Maybe we won't see that until the very last scene of S6.
Cause I keep trying to figure out how they would have all the earlier cast members back and why they are showing all these videos of alternate realities like a perfect track record for Oceanic, and Kate's Wanted Video, and Hurleys' ad for his chicken place...etc... and yet still show what is going on with Ilana's crew with Frank and Richard, Ben... and Locke.

By the way... I meant to tell you guys about this. As some of you may have read, during this whole Comic Con session... I finally got myself into Twittering and learning what that is all about. It's pretty neat cause I would log on and constantly see updates of what was happening at Comic Con as everything was happening, I basically had a backseat spot.

Anyways, on twitter... you find people that you want to "follow" and you get mini messages from them whenever they post them. Sort of like facebook status messages but shorter. To get to my point, amoungst some of the people I am following like DocArzt and JOpinionated, there is the person who calls themselves DharmaTalks. He isn't a lostie, he's a buddist or new age thinker as far I can tell. Anyways, I am following him cause he has a lot of very interesting things to say.
Here is one of them... I couldn't resist sharing it with you guys - tell me if this sounds very familiar.

"Dharma is not what u do,not what u should do,not even what u want to do but what u were born 2 do"- DharmaTalks on twitter.

I just loved that. I can't help but wonder if this is actual buddist thinking behind Dharma what does that say for our LOSTIES or even for the Dharma Initative? Hmmmm... Also the conspiracy theorist in me wants to think this guy is really D&C playing with us twitterers. ;-)

Thank you for the links. I loved them. I started crying.
I think I'm having a panic attack regarding the ending.

Dharma - like the dharma message also - seems very Lost.

SandDab has had me thinking about the destiny/free will thing also. My son is taking a class
this summer in ethics, and it's all about philosophy, featuring our friends Mr. Locke,
Mr. David Hume, and Mr. Jeremy Bentham. So far, we've been focusing on Immanuel Kant, but
I'm hoping for some Lost clues as the course progresses.

MIC - it's finally starting to hit that there is an end to Lost and it seems to be arriving sooner
than we'd like. We are going to need a major support system going after that last episode! I
hope it's an ending we can discuss for a long time.

...and I told my hubby the other day I might have separation anxiety once it finishes... I've already warned him there might be a mourning period!

Frank - I'm dharma4life on Twitter - do a search for me!!!
And hit follow - for the source to that quote search for "DharmaTalks" - that's his username.
For all the lost gossip I'm following DocArzt and JOpinionated.
Not sure which pictures you mean... But if it's the pictures I posted up here - those are my actual photos from my birthday! ;-)

Oh yes they were... I probably have those pictures or atleast the links to them somewhere in the prior "tweets" - I'll look for them and send u the link... I thought it was cool of Darlton to go visit all the people who were camping out in line.
